The cloud-based STREAM app Title Collector is your smart and flexible tool for generating queries to select products in your database and provide them in a list. The results recorded in this list can be exported in various formats or used for creating standardized marketing material.
Key features and benefits
-
Enables you to generate 'selection profiles' in an easy way for doing catalog exports (ONIX) or creating flyers for marketing purposes
-
'Selection profiles' are: queries to select products from your database and provide them in a list
-
For creating these profiles: 'selection rules' – various rules can be selected for each selection area
-
Option for specialists: create (complex) rules in a process similar to working with SQL
-
The results list of a selection profile can be edited (a manual process)
-
Results of a product selection are made available as a file for further processing
-
Templates for doing exports are available from the integrated STREAM feature Metadata Export Manager
-
The data export file can be downloaded
Create the profiles you need: in a simple way or as a specialist
'Selection profiles' are where the search criteria and results lists can be administrated in the app: you define 'selection rules' to narrow down your entire product portfolio to the titles you want to select.
There is a large number of search criteria that can be used – for each area of the data stored in the Product Pool, there are various fields to choose from for data queries, arranged in 'selection areas'. Search criteria can be combined to create complex queries.
You can directly start the batch procedure to run a selection or schedule this for a specific date and time. It is also possible to do the selection at regular intervals so that the selection list is updated automatically in the background.

How can you define the selection parameters for creating your profiles using the app? This process is linked to the way SQL (Structured Query Language) works: the standard computer language used for database management.
If you don't have a basic knowledge of SQL, this is not a problem with Title Collector: an intuitive, easy-to-use user interface enables you to select the search parameters you want.

Doing exports and creating flyers: quick & easy with templates
Your results lists can be exported in XML and be formatted as a number of file types, for doing ONIX exports and creating marketing flyers and catalogs.
The export settings and style sheets to be used are stored and managed using the STREAM feature Metadata Export Manager (see separate flyer), which is an integrated part of Title Collector. For each export, there is the option 'immediately' or as part of the 'batch' procedure. Once processing has been completed, you can download the respective file.
